Seeing the dance of Chinese humanoid robots, experts said – China gave tough competition to America in robotics.

Washington. China showcased its robotics capabilities in a grand technology event that caught the world’s attention. About 25 humanoid robots that looked like humans surprised the audience by performing martial arts and synchronized dance with children on the stage. Robots were seen performing complex movements like twisting swords, rotating poles and backflips, and the special thing was that not a single robot fell during the demonstration.
This performance took place at China’s famous TV event CCTV Spring Festival Gala, which is counted among the most watched programs in the world. Experts say the platform has long been a medium to showcase China’s technological and industrial achievements—be it the space program, drone technology or robotics.
According to George Steeler, head of an Asia-based technology consultancy firm, performance on such a national stage is directly related to the government’s industrial policy. Companies who get the opportunity to showcase their products here can later get benefits like government orders, investment and better market access.
The name of Chinese company Unitri Robotics is being taken prominently in the development of robots. Experts believe that in the last one year, there has been tremendous improvement in the gait, balance and real-time movement of robots. While last year these robots were seen performing simple movements, this time they also executed complex martial arts moves with precision.
Technical analysts say that this progress is not limited to hardware only, but there has also been significant improvement in Artificial Intelligence software. The ‘brains’ of robots are being trained in such a way that they can perform precise and realistic tasks in factories, logistics and other industrial sectors in the future.
The discussion has intensified among international experts that China is now giving a tough challenge to America in the field of robotics and AI. However, this phase of technological competition is likely to intensify in the coming years, with both countries increasing investment in the development of advanced robotics, automation and smart machines.
