Sugar production increased by 12.43 percent; IIM Mumbai’s status increased, domestic package reached Rs 71.4 lakh annually

Sugar production increased by 12.43 percent to 2.47 crore till February in the current marketing formula which started in October. According to the institute, the top 10 per cent of the batch received an average annual package of Rs 47.5 lakh, while the average for the top 20 per cent was Rs 41.4 lakh and for the top 50 per cent it was Rs 34.5 lakh. The graduates have found placements in diverse sectors such as banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), consulting, FMCG, general management, information technology, manufacturing, operations, logistics, pharmaceutical and healthcare and product management. The consulting sector emerged as the largest recruitment sector, with 123 offers made. While the BFSI sector has seen a 33 per cent increase in recruitment compared to last year, the jobs in the consumer goods (FMCG) sector have increased by 24 per cent. Additionally, there has been growth in the logistics sector, which reinforces the institute’s expertise in supply chain and operational strategy. Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, said that we are witnessing a decisive change in the industry’s approach towards management talent.
