Excitement intensifies regarding elections in Nepal, RPP releases manifesto

Kathmandu. The excitement regarding the elections to be held on March 5 in Nepal has intensified. All the parties are making their own promises regarding this. Nepal’s Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has raised the demand for the return of monarchy in Nepal through a manifesto. In its election manifesto, the party has described ‘Prithvi Path’ as the guiding principle of nation building. It talks about rejecting secularism and creating a ‘Hindu nation’.
According to media reports, party president Rajendra Lingden presented the manifesto at the party’s central office in Kathmandu, in which emphasis has been laid on making Nepal a Hindu nation, restoration of monarchy, abolishing the provincial structure and adopting two-tier governance, electoral reforms and good governance. According to the report, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party has prepared this manifesto for the elections to be held on March 5, in which the six-pillar model of economic transformation has been described as the basis of Nepal’s prosperity.
The party has adopted zero tolerance on corruption, liberating local areas and ‘Prithvi Path’ as the future direction of governance. The manifesto focuses on promoting prosperity through political stability, good governance, economic reform and social justice. Apart from this, it has been promised to make the East-West Mahendra Highway of international standard in three years and declare the next 10 years as the decade of energy production. The proposal for zero tolerance policy and good governance includes the aggressive slogan ‘We will not be crushed, we will not be corrupted’. To implement this promise to fight corruption, the party has proposed a legal system to investigate the assets of big leaders and employees after 1990 and to confiscate illegal assets. It also includes a pledge to criminalize all forms of religious discrimination, including caste discrimination and untouchability. The party claims that its vision is to protect the honor of all religious communities in Nepal, so that independence can be secured.
